"Near Miss" Chiang Mai, Thailand 2013 - Nikon D800 f2.8 Nikkor 24-70mm
One of my first nights in Thailand, jet lagged and sleep deprived, stumbling around looking for good eats. Probably the worst time to make photographs? For me though? Its THE BEST. Before I find my footing, sort out my life in a new time zone, order room service, take a nap etc -things any NORMAL traveler would do, I strike out and get boots on the ground. I find that the more familiar I am with a location, the less effective I am at just...BEING -and reacting to 'what is'. In this particular case, had I been more sure of myself, I would've double checked before crossing the street and remembered that in Thailand, they drive on the Left. I probably wouldn't have almost died....but then, I wouldn't have made this incredible capture.
