Laird Robertson of NEO Architecture
Nikon z8 z24-70 2.8
Like many, I am a big fan of NEO's architectural work. It was a thrill to be asked to make portraits of their team. Clients such as this come along once in a blue moon. Laird and co. were curious about my creative process and where I'd "go" with these. Tests were shot, and a back and forth commenced. In the end we agreed that essential structural elements would play a part in the portraits. We thought a compartmentalised look would resonate. Of course, there HAD to be a 'cool' factor. For this I did nothing but let my subjects BE. Further, I decided on the natural lighting of NEO's turn-of-the century HQ to complete this dramatic look.
You will find this capture and more in the PORTRAITS chapter of my new site. And maybe, perhaps, in time, you'll also see some of NEO's architectural work of mine too. Cross your fingers for me!
